Scramble nets are made from 16mm diameter (2" circumference) 4 strand natural hemp or 16mm polypropylene and can be fitted to rope frames, tracks or top tubes.
Mesh size is 12" (standard) or 10" (optional for juniors). Any size can be made and the edges can be finished with spliced eyes (as on Junior Southampton climbing frames) or a continuous perimeter rope.
These can be made in either 16mm hemp or 16mm polypropylene. (Hemp is soft and least likely to cause rope burns; polypropylene is cheaper).
For outside scramble nets see the category on assault courses.
